Cummins from Ky

I know, I know why would I want to be a member of a PowerStroke site? I have been reading on here, and it seems like most people on here have a respect for the diesels in general, not only their brands diesel. I own a Cummins, and am proud of it, but I'm not going to knock someone for owning a different truck than me. They will both do anything we want them to, so I don't understand all the fanboys...

Anyways my truck...

I am the proud owner of a '91 Dodge Ram D350, 2wd, Dually, Intercooled Cummins Turbo Diesel. I don't see too many 1st Gens around, so I think my truck is pretty special. As far as mods, I have a 4" straight pipe exhaust, 366 Spring, DennyT Stage II Fuel Pin, and the usual gauges. It's pretty fun burning all 4 rear tires, but the neighbors don't like it too much.

I hope to learn more about PowerStrokes, and will try to get pics of my truck posted.

Welcome to the site. I really like the old 12v's for some reason. Thought about putting one in my 97 and have also thought if I ever blow the motor in my 99 a cummins swap is going to be a possibility. Good luck with your truck and have fun.

The VE pump leaves a little bit to be desired in stock form, but tweak it a little bit and it's a completley different truck. I'm looking for an older F-350, Dually, 5spd to play around with. I might even go for an IDI engine. How much do those usually run?

I have seen a few Ford Cummins conversions, and they look real nice. It seems as though Ford made more SRW F-350's than they made Duallys, but I would love to have an F-350 with a 12 valve, and 6spd tranny.

I like the cummins, I like working on them, pretty easy, especially the 12v. But I've never been in a dodge that I really liked. I love the Ford body and interior.

I would think you can get a pretty good deal on an IDI, not sure though, haven't looked into it too much. I know what you mean about the dually thing though, you see way more dodge dually's than ford it seems. There is an F550 crew cab with a 12v and 6spd for sale near me that I have been pretty tempted by for a while now.
