its an e4od just got it home where i could actually do something with it. dropped the pan and it was all but dry so i took off the inspection cover and it was caked with fluid so my best guess would be the pump seal. Since i didnt have the truck when this all went down im going to change the filter and fill it up with a little fluid and see if it will go into gear and see if it starts spitting fluid. Then ill have a better idea what i need to do. Thanks for the welcome hope everyone on here is as nice.

well i decided to replace the filter and put a new gasket on it then filled the tranny with fluid over the weekend just to see if i could get it to move. Sure enough it did and it ran through the gears with no problems just like it should. torque converter was great and the front seal wasnt leaking so i guess the guy just didnt have the pan sealed. i was amazed it wasnt completely burnt up. made for a good day, hopefully itll keep running like that for a while.
