Hello ~~~~

Many thanks to the moderators and all who make this forum possible.

Last Tuesday I sold a pretty sharp 1995 Powerstroke F250 for $5,500. I advertised on craigslist for less than a week. I was very happy with that truck for 2 years, except it did not have 4x4. Also the paint was too pretty for bushwacking.

Yesterday, I found a 1995 F250 4x4 for sale and dickered the price to $2750. I pick it up Friday, when corporate sends the title to the shop manager. The truck has been owned since it was new by Jack's Oil and Tire. I'm hoping they properly serviced it for its whole life of 390,000 miles.

They said it always had oil changes at 5,000 miles with synthetic blend. The auto transmission was repaired at around 200,000.

I test drove it up to about 65 mph. The turbo spools up properly, it shifts good, and steers straight with a little slop in the steering wheel. The brakes are a bit mushy, but work ok.

I put it on some dirt and tested the front drive in Hi and Low, it seems good.

With 390,000 miles it is a bit of a risk to buy this truck. I'm buying it for just 50% of what I sold the other truck for. Let the Adventure begin!

Glad to have you - to the ORG!!

Sounds like a good deal. If the shop has owned it, it may have been very well taken care of. Good luck with it.

If you haven't already, take a look at this forum.
