I have wanted a 7.3L Powerstroke for quite some time now. I am looking for one. I just found an almost perfect truck (for me). It was 2,000. I don't have 2,000. I don't even have 1,000. I don't even have 100. Rats. Anyway, I'll be looking about, for that 7.3L ford, and learning all I can so I can get the turbos spooled quick once I buy my truck. Here's what I am looking for,

1995-1997
7.3 L DI Turbo
Extended or Crew Cab (Odd that the crews are less expensive)
4wd
Girlfriend would prefer a color other than white, I can't be bothered
DRW or SRW
Manual

My plans for mods are :
Propane (I've heard horror stories, I need to do some research)
Resistor mod until I can get a chip
Water (Again, horror stories, need to do some research)
Eventually a turbo.

The 2,000 dollar truck I drove seemed awfully slow, and it had the E40D. I think it wasn't making boost, because I couldn't hear the turbo spool unless I stopped, rolled the windows down, and did some power braking, and even then, it seemed a really low spool. The exhaust pipe was pinched, badly. I presume that would take a huge amount of backpressure to the turbo.

The other thing I noticed was the hole in the intake, with smoke coming out of it. Is this the PCV?

Anyway, thought I'd introduce myself, try to get what I want out there in case anyone has something that they'll be looking to get rid of when I get some money (could be quite some time).
