Hello

Hello everyone, my name is Chase. I've always been a ford fan and fell in love with the powerstroke a few years back at the ripe age of 16. Now I'm looking to buy one and was hoping I could acquire some expert knowledge from the community here.

Glad to have you Chase - to the ORG!!

To get an idea of what's out there, go up to the top nav bar and click on "Forums", then scroll down to the various engine sizes in the different year models. Lots of good information in each forum section.

Well thank you for the warm welcome! I am leaning toward a 6.0 honestly. I actually started a thread in the 6.0 general discussion hoping for some advice on a specific truck I've found.

Welcome Aboard Chase.
The 6.0 can have issues but once you've Bulletproofed it, it run's like Raped Ape!

Haha thanks Larry! I like that saying. From what I understand the EGR and head stud bolts are something to address. But after that it should be a solid truck.

Yes Sir, and one of the meanest sounding sob's on the road! By far the best sounding turbo Diesel imo.

I'll concur with that. Back in the day my buddy had an '04 that had a 5" straight and he "chip stacked" as he put it. Thing was a beast and would roll coal all over the place. Which was unnecessary but it was his truck so his decision. But then he center punched a tree at 80mph. No more powerstroke.
