New from Texas

Hello all, I recently purchased my first diesel and figured this would be a good place for me to learn about, upgrade and care for my new to me truck. She is a white, ex-cab, long bed, 2wd, 2001 F250 PSD with the 7.3 with 310K on her. I have plans of going synthetic with all the fluids as my budget allows and also adding a few power/performance upgrades along the way as I try to get this baby somewhere close to the 600K mark. I did have some very basic experience with diesel engines during my military career but those were GM motors. So please, feel free to throw out any advice you may have. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Allen

Welcome! What part of tx? I'm in the north Dallas area. Like mentioned above, just start reading away! I'd start reading the stickies (the starred threads at the very too of each section. Also a good place to order OEM parts is www.dieselorings.com. They also have great tutorials for replacing and breaking down the parts for steps and tips.

Also affiliated with dieselOrings.com is this site which has helped me a lot with getting familiar with the 7.3.
