Hi Everyone. just purchased my first 7.3....1997 f250 Extended Cab Automatic

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum and very happy to have found my new 1997 extended cab with 167K on it.

Really looking forward to learning more about recommended maintenance and upgrades.

I'm hoping that someone can recommend a knowledgeable powerstroke tech in the Syracuse, NY area, and am particularly interested in a performance chip, and upgraded transmission, but really in learning all about the 7.3.

I'm willing to invest a fair amount in this truck as the interior is excellent.

I'd love to pass this truck on to my 4 month old son when he's old enough to drive

Thanks and Happy New Year!

Easy Ed

Welcome to the org! Good lookin truck! Before looking for a chip you would wanna open her up a little with intake and exhaust! Then get you some gauges if you don't have any. Then build from there! i have a ts 6 pos chip that is getting sent to tony wildman right now, love it and cant wait for the new tunes. Lots of info and great guys on here
