New to Forum... 2002 F250

Hey folks, new to this forum, looks like a great place to learn.

Just got a 2002 Supercab 250.... 99K miles

Picked it up at a farm auction and it has cleaned up really well.

Had the tranny flushed and filled with Amsoil, updated the other fluids as well to full synthetics.

It needed a rear ujoint right away, which seemed to be the third ujoint in the vehicle, seeing it was not a factory ujoint.

I will be using it for pulling around my tractor, hauling wood and for the many summer road trips that need a variety of gear for. So.... that means that power is important, but I want to see how high I can get the MPG up to...

WR

Welcome! If you want more mpg's try opening up the intake and exhaust and getting a chip, and drive lightly if you can after you get the added power!

Welcome!! I also have an 02. I upgraded intake, went 4" turbo back, and added a TS 6position chip. Did some pretty thorough fuel mileage checks with and without trailer. If you can control the right foot, you should see an increase of 2ish mpg. I saw a little better than 2 a couple times and less a couple times. So I think 2 is about the norm. Here lately tho, I have dropped mpg considerably, but I get where Im going a whole lot quicker!!!(heavy foot disease!) Congrats on the truck. Look around this site, I think youll like the info, the people, And the atmosphere. We just got voted the #1 diesel site. Didnt happen by mistake!!
