That truck is a sexy beast. You might be able to outrun a 7.3 with the newer stuff they got out now but that 7.3 will catch back up and pass them sitting somewhere on the side of the road at some point! Okay kidding, kidding (Before I get yelled at by other members) LOL. That's kind of a large swing in fuel mileage. Is it getting cold where you are living at or something?

Thanks guys!!! Lol I don't think I would trade it.. It was a gift from my dad, he knew I like this truck a lot.. And with the weather being cold, here in Texas it never gets cold.. High heat right now.. I remember when my dad gave me the truck like 3 months ago it read 17.4 and one day it just drop to 12.7 so then when I said that thing not accurate.. I drive it normal, I don't floor it cause diesel is pricey here in TX.. Now am going to calculate it my self, fill her up and write down the miles and check it again when I have to fill it up again..

Welcome to the org.....

Now about that fat bottom...nice truck!
Don't ever trust the lie o metre. Hand calculate the mileage...as far as tunes, id recommend a Tony Wildman flip chip. His econo setting on my truck made me go from 14 mpg to 20.....And the mods started getting heavy...lol. I still can get about 17/18 if I drive it sanely on the interstate. But the mountains have a huge effect on mileage over here. Flat Texas, you should see 20 with stock tires and the mods you have with a 3:73 gear.

Get up with Tony at total diesel performance, he's in Texas. He will do you right.
