Question new guy trying it out

I am new at all of this. as of right now i don't have a diesel. but good news is that i will be home from iraq in a couple days and that is the first thing on my to-do list. i have always had ford and love fords. i'm looking at a 05 f350. i have also been looking into a performance upgrade. but with all the products out there i'm getting lost and can't choose which one i really want. i don't need nothing to hugh. i'm just looking for something to show up the little imports, and also won't lose power in the hills of colorado. how much affect does high elevation have on performance upgrades? all the help is much appriciated.

Guages, exhaust, intake can be done now or later. The 6ohs intake is pretty strong until you are running huge power. Then comes the programmer/chip/module. I think alot of guys really likr the SCT stuff for the 6ohs. So have done the quadzilla stuff and had good luck with it too.
