Hey Ya'll

Hey Ya'll. I am a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy. I spent my entire 25 year career in submarines. I retire from the Navy in April 2014. I was born and raised in the Great State of Texas and have been stationed in Washington State since 1992.

I bought my 2007 F350 in Feb 2012 bone stock except for the leveling kit and tires. Before this I drove a 1990 F250 4x4 with a 460 V-8 that got 10 MPG empty/loaded/towing, I never got higher but when it got lower, it was time for a tune up! I loved that truck and the only reason I sold it was we were about to pay off two vehicles and it was the perfect time to upgrade my truck while a payment was still in our budget.

My goal is to build a solid tow vehicle and I intend to drive it for at least 10-20 years... okay, the 20 may be a stretch but you get my drift. I have done all the work myself but have learned that I can fix anything except the crack of dawn or a broken heart, and, that sometimes pays to farm out the troubleshooting!

Welcome to the site Cheif. And thank you for your time. My brother as well as my brother in law were both on the subs and we lost my Grandfathers brother (great uncle I guess) during WWII when the surfaced next to a Japanese destroyer. So I know how demanding a life of subs could be. I chose to go in and stay on some nice dry land so I went with the Ep-3's.
Looks like you have a heck of a good start on your truck! Check out the military pages and while your at it check out the camping pages! Welcome again!

I was in the Dark Ages for a couple of days (no WIFI), I just got back from camping out by Chahalis, Washington. It was awesome!.

CCR's was on my mind the whole trip down and back. I will check out the site a little later on this evening after I finish cleaning up the truck and trailer. I wont be able to do anything for awhile because I will be underway for "about" two weeks. I will followup once I am back above sea level!

And, what is a G2G? I am a little slow on the uptake. I just got a smart phone and am learning all the slang like:

LOL means "laugh out loud"
WTF means "Well, that's Friday!"
etc...

That was a feeble attempt at humor, but I honestly don't know what G2G means.

G2G=Get together! Well that makes sense and thanks everybody for the warm welcome.

I have been surfing the CCR forum and it sounds like fun. I will get with my Sweet Young Bride and see which events we can make.
