Talking New Ford Owner

Hello all,

Been searching for the past 3-4 months for the "right" truck for me. I really wanted a Duramax truck(what all my friends have), but recently ran across the truck that was "me".

Just wanted to introduce myself:

I'm Tim, and own a 2000 F350 Crew Cab Dually with 7.3L Powerstroke. I'm happy to find the forum, and looking forward to learning the basics on these trucks. I'm a Drag racing guy by heart(race a 1999 Trans Am) and needed a truck to pull my car. I'm pretty sure this truck is up to the challenge~!

This truck is probably overqualified and with some mods I'm sure you have the ability to put down some impressive #'s in the DUALLY!!!

Get ready to be struck with PMS, and Welcome to the site, ask away...

I certainly am looking forward to it. We were worried it was the typical "too much truck" syndrome, but since picking it up on friday night, we've been in love with it.

My real only plans for the truck are:

Edge Juice w/attitude
Intake of some sort
legitimate exhaust(without being loud inside the truck)

Other than that, we are in love with the truck right now. I just hope it knocks down some decent fuel mileage with these mods and how it sits now....

Welcome

Welcome: Sounds like you may have found a real good truck there, when do we get to see pictures of it. Don't forget to put a sat of gages on it First!!!
That Turbo can get warm pulling the trailer up there in them there TE hills.
This is the ex I run on my 6.0 and it has some sound but not to much that it is uncomfortable in the cab. Most all are about the same sound. Good luck

thanks for the warm welcome guys. Actually ,y wife and i were AMAZED that the truck actually fits in our garage.

Here's the cars in the garage:

1999 Trans Am(the weekend toy)
1962 Austin Healey Sprite(wifey's toy)
1996 Cadillac Seville STS(The "beater")
My Truck~!

I was amazed this monster of a truck fits in there, but it actually slides in quite nicely~!

I'll try and snap some pics of the truck this afternoon, as i'm getting the front windows tinted today while i'm at work.

The truck is seriously the most beautiful Ford i've ever seen. It is a matching color set with my trans am as well(black w/silver)

They are going to look REAL good together at the track~

WD40-That exhaust looks really nice. Right now the truck has just the typical resonator/muffler delete, it's just a little too "cheap" for me, so i'd liek to go to a full turbo-back exhaust. How much did you pay for your exhaust?

from another newbie! Pics when you can get them, and details on your T-A would be welcome too. This site is a gold mine and everyone here is superfriendly and helpful; I got kind of "lost" on another site that was obscenely huge (member-list wise) and unless you had a couple of hundred posts under your belt, your input or questions didn't seem to rate...
