Just wanted to kick out a hello from Baghdad, Iraq where the terrain is mean but the powerstroke is meaner. The Ford diesel platform is the vehicle of choice if it's a mision critical event. Most of the driving in Iraq is just that. Parts and garages are non-existent but you would be surprised what you can repair in an environment like this. I'm buying a Ford Powerstroke when I get home. Its head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to reliability and performance. Have a good one!!!!!!!!!

Be safe over there gentlemen, we appreciate your sacrifice and committment for our country

Ford, Chevy, hell, even Dodge, it's all good; just get back here safely.

When I was down south a few years ago, (think Clear and Present Danger) up armored diesel Suburbans (white, of course) where the magnet of choice. They were good for 7.62; not too sure about RPGs. Nothing like what our guys are facing with the IEDs over there in SWA. Remember back years ago when most IEDs just made smoke and noise and couldn't flip over an APC?!

One Texas company I spoke too said the premium on Excursion PSDs was due to tremendous demand in the SWA theater. These guys were in the business of up-armoring everything from sedans up, and the diesels were the powerplant of choice. They had 5 brand new, never titled '05 V-10 Excursions that they were trying to deal on but I had to have a diesel!
