New Member from Camas, WA

Hey all,

Haven't done too much browsing yet as I am currently at work but thought I would toss a quick introduction up.

Just picked up a '08 350 CC FX4 on Saturday from a local dealership. So far I absolutely love this truck and missed riding high. I've been in a Subaru Spec B for a few years now and riding higher is something I always new I would get back to.

Anyways, I was looking for a 3/4 ton (my wife wanted a 1/2 though) for a business that my wife and I, along with another couple, opened last month on the 3rd. I needed a rig I could haul product with without having to worry about not having the capabilities to do so. Well the 3/4 ton options were few and far in between so when I happened across this 1 ton I was in heaven!

A couple days later, and long persuasive conversations with the wife, I found myself driving it off the lot!

Hope to do quite a bit of reading over the next few weeks as with my previous forum experience I know that there is a lot to be learned from some of these threads.

Brendan

Thanks for the welcome guys! My apologies for going MIA since my OP, found out the next day I will be moving again for the second time in 2 months

Damn black mold issue in the property I just moved into. Oh well.

I will most definitely get over to the CCR thread and poke my head in and say hi among researching different options for performance upgrades/reliability fixes.

I will be continuing to do a lot of reading but so far it seems I need to do the EGR delete (expected) and would like to pick up a programmer, intake and TBE. Time to get started on the wish list to give to the wife so she has time to shop before christmas!

Been reading up on DPF delete's and, despite conflicting information, it seems that DPF delete capable tuner's are slowly becoming few and far in between due to EPA crackdowns.

With that in mind, I guess I should get one while they are available. The one's that seem to be the best, or have the best following at least, are the H&S, Spartan, and SCT systems. Anybody have personal experience with all or one of these?

I'm sorry if this is a rather common question that can be answered with searching through the forum but as I mentioned previously I am finding conflicting information. I am also coming from the world of Subaru where there are 2 options, and only two options and no real emissions issues similar to DPF systems that I had to deal with.

I appreciate any feedback! I will continue searching and reading in the meantime, as time allows at least.

Brendan
