New F550 Owner

Hello Ford folks. I am the proud new owner of a 2007 Host 270 motorhome. It's on a 2006 or 2007 Ford F550 Crew Cab 4x4 Chassis with a 6.0 liter Power stroke. It has 15000 miles on it. I am a former Duramax owner. This is my first Ford diesel. Had two gas Fords previously. I am looking for suggestions as far as maintenence issues and upgrades for more pulling power and fuel mileage. Thanks

Here's a pic.

Vehicle seems all stock. 16k miles. I'll be checking to see if the coolant is stock or has already been replaced. I'm looking at options as far as EGR cooler vs. delete, eliminating the cat and going to a 4" turbo back exhaust, a tuner and other upgrades. Hoping to pick up some MPG and pulling power

That is nice.... Giving me some ideas for the day I retire mine...

Sounds like you have a good game plan for the upgrades. Delete the EGR if emissions are not a problem. Gauges or a monitor to keep an eye on all of the vitals of the truck. I would recommend a coolant filter system too.
In the future I would also highly recommend the oil cooler system from Bulletproof Diesel. Matt @ Gearhead Preformance writes some tunes for the 550's.

Do theyr require a different tune than the F250-450?
