New Guy from Augusta, GA

Hi guys, I finally bought my dream truck Tuesday so here I am joining up!
I picked up a 2006 F350 6.0L Lariat PSD with 12" of lift on 40" MT ATZ with 20" rims, custom paint, and super clean, with only 42,000 miles on it!!!! I got a STEAL on the truck I couldn't pass up.

I've wanted this truck since I was 13 years old and first saw one at the baseball fields with my dad in 2003. I said I'd own one, it took me 10 years, but I called my dad back Tuesday and asked him if he remembered that day back in Alabama at those fields...and was almost crying with joy to tell him I finally did it!

next to my buddy's mini

next to my buddy's cummins

My name is Earvin, I'm 23 years old, I'm an electrical engineering student full time and work a full time job 40hours every week & work hard for everything I have. My parents do not help with anything [not $, not cosigners, anything] but love & support, I wasnt raised with a silver spoon, just raised right. I'm proud of my independence & accomplishments. Thanks guys!

Since I got it, i've started a couple minor things. Today it will get an oil change to start off fresh on my ownership plate. I've always changed my own oil...but debating if I should take it to the dealership for this one since its such low miles and it will be my first time touching a diesel motor....but in my experience an oil change is an oil change...?

installed a Pioneer double din yesterday

performed a headlight restoration on it as well

and today I will be plastidipping the window visors black, as thats too much chrome for my taste but the handles & mirrors will stay

Welcome to the ORG Earvin!

We've got a great group of guys here, not only on the website - but in Georgia too! We've got a powerstroke club here in Georgia called the GPDA (click the link in my sig to take you to our "talking soot" thread)

As for the oil changes, BEFORE you do it - order a fumoto valve from qwikvalve. They'll make future oil changes a breeze! Congrats on the truck! It definitely stands out! I'm not much for a chrome guy... so I say paint the door handles to match - but it still looks sharp either way.

I'll check it out man, thanks.

I guess I'll check into that valve after today. It's going to the dealership, got a buddy who's a diesel tech up there & hooks me up.

Yeah the color is a hate it or love it but I feel in love when I saw it in person. I'd like to leave the pull chrome and ptm the rest of the handle eventually

Welcome and congrats!! Nice truck and I like the color, definitely stands out! Everything Super Diesel said is true, great people on the org and in the GPDA. Well everything except what he said about the chrome, leave it on!! His truck used to be a flatbed so he has a grudge against chrome.

Haha thanks man.

Ur sig reminds me. . I had been looking for a 7.3 when I found this deal. . So I'm looking to do an egr delete and possibly had studs asap. Truck has really low miles and will see barely any work so hopefully that'll keep some stress off the motor. Currently it just has an intake, and deleted cat/muffler with 3.5" straight pipe

Earvin, the big thing is to get a monitor and start watching your truck's vitals. EOT, ECT, FICM voltage, etc are good to monitor.

We have a G2G (get together) coming up June 7th and 8th. If you can, try to make it out!
