Nebie in KS

Complete newbie here. New to diesels and new to forums...I will need a lot of help! LOL

My daily driver is my 94 f250 5.8L gas guzzler with 303,000 miles on it. Yes the same engine and tranny. My fiance believes it has been touched by Jesus. I bought my '01 7.3SD to take it's place in the hauling department. As much as I love my 94 i can't believe it took me this long to convert to diesel. Now if I can only get my fuel milage up on the SD!

Thanks! The highest has been 13.7 and lowest is 10.5. That is also accounting for the oversize tires. I bought the truck with the lift on it, but if I can't get the milage up, it will be coming back down and I will go back to the 16" wheels.

I'm no expert on this by any means (my truck is stock 4x4 height with stock wheels and tire size), but do you know if the truck is regeared for the 18"s? I've read where people regear the differentials to compensate for larger wheels.

You might, if you haven't already, check out the 99-03 7.3L threads:
