Hello from Alaska

New guy checking in from Anchorage, Alaska.

Picked up a 2008 F250 Crew Cab FX4 from a good friend with 51k miles. He was the original owner, and moved up to an RV and decided to sell. Truck has been well taken care of with the basic upgrades to include; Banks Duals, DPF/EGR deletes, and AFE Stage 2 intake along with an XRT Pro Tuner.

I decided to upgrade from a 09 Nissan Titan which was a good truck, but I tow my Cobra to the dragstrip, and snowmobiles in the winter, with the occasional travel trailer tow in the summer and found the piece of mind with a 1/2 ton to be lacking. After riding in his truck towing a 30ft toy hauler, and my car the next weekend I was sold.

This truck is my daily driver, I plan on keeping it simple. Might do an LED light bar in the grille for the long winters up here, besides that I am 100% content with this machine.

Looking forward to the site.

Thanks everyone, and sorry for the late response.

I got some of my 1st towing in. Towing 4 snowmobiles enjoying a "late" Alaska Spring/early. Averaged close to 17mpg towing 4 snowmobiles on a car trailer @ 55-60.

I drive 99% city during the week and summer, and have been getting 15mpg with a lil happiness on the skinny pedal.

Also the previous owner had an outdated H&S Tune so I installed the new HD300 tune and have been pretty easy on the truck.

Loving the machine!! The wife wants to travel trailer shop this week, thinking around the 28-30ft area will be a nice hitch pull, cant wait!!
