Newbie from IL (unfortunately)

Hey guys. Just checking in before I begin doing some serious noob posting. Been lurking and learning for a while. Promise I'll do a search before I post my questions though because I still have a bunch.

Truck I just picked up is an Arizona Beige 2004 F350 CC SRW Lariat with 83.5k miles and a Century cap (currently removed). It is a Lariat model and is absolutely meticulous both inside and out. Whoever owned it previously took VERY good care of it. From what I can tell it is pretty much stock except for an Edge Juice w/Attitude that is plugged in and receiving power but the LCD display is blank.

See ya on the boards.

Where are you from in Illinois? I grew up in Kankakee area and worked on my grandpas farm every summer in Carbondale.

Hello 6.0, I'm new here also. My programmer was doing the exact same thing and I just pulled the display out of the pod and unplugged it on the back side and pluged it back in and it lights up again.

@Ammo: I'm in Bartlett, so Kankakee is not very far. Have you joined the Illiana club?

@Lifted: Thanks. I'll try that when I get home and let you know what happens.

@Lifted: No joy on the edge unplug fix. It is hardwired into the back of the display. Tried unplugging the rest of the connections under the hood and still have the same result. Backlit buttons and nothing on the LCD display.

Welcome! I'm also a newbie from IL with my first diesel and first Ford. It's not too bad a state other than that one city up north that craps everything up. Besides we'll be getting concealed carry here soon!
