Diesel Newbie from Washington

Just picked up a '95 F350 Crew Cab 4x4 on Friday. She's runs, drives and shifts great! Seems to have been a fairly well taken care of, people I bought from bought it for their son, but he didn't like the 5spd and wanted an auto. So they went out and bought him another one with a Auto and this truck just sat from January to now . Truck has 231k miles, the 2nd owner only put 14k miles on the truck from 2004(217k) to January of this year and kept up on the maintenance and as far as I know the original owner was a Ford Tech. That doesn't necessarily mean anything, but more than likely when it did get serviced it was done at the dealership.

She's got a new clutch, glow plugs, tires and serpentine belt, pretty clean rig overall, no serious scratches and no dents. Bed has been rhino lined and I acquired a tundra cover from a buddy over the weekend too . First upgrade is going to be manual locking hubs, my old '89 Suburban had manual hubs and I loved them, auto locking hubs are dumb in my opinion, then probably a intercooler.

As for myself, my name is Tim and just recently got out of the Navy and wrenching on Diesels are a new thing for me, but general auto mechanics is my hobby and I worked on aircraft engines when I was in the service. I'll be spending a lot of time searching and reading up on all the tech. Already got a taste of working on it last night when the transfer case shifter slipped out of the linkage, easy fix. I got the truck for mostly hauling and towing, but it will serve nicely as my daily driver for now.

Thanks for the welcomes! Forgot to say, when I picked the truck up friday night, I proceeded to put her to great use and drive down to Tigard and Salem, OR over the weekend then back up to Oak Harbor,WA on Sunday. Drove great all the way, just had to replace the dried out wipers (found out the hard way how bad they needed to be replaced).
