New to diesels

I just bought my first diesel today. An 2004 F350 SRW 6.0 with 133000 miles on it for $13,500. My wife already thinks i made a mistake. Did I? I have an Oasis report in hand that says "no recent repair history on vehicle" and "no campaign messages found". What should i be looking for on this report? There are a couple sections that i am not sure of like the "accurate repair notifications" section. It only has a couple statements saying "dont replace FICM assembly without referencing 10-12-06" and "before replacing 6.0l head gaskets refer to 09-08-03".

Secondly, i have read about all the common issues with the EGR and oil cooler etc. but how do i check to see if they have already been replaced? I am a complete noob with these engines and the location of these items or what to even check.

Thanks in advance for any feedback

Congrats on the new truck and welcome to the .org! Unless if was done at a dealership there won't be a record. I don't know of any tell tale signs of replacement history, hopefully someone else can chime it!

Welcome, only thing I know you can check is to look and see if the egr has been deleted and also look at the head bolts on the drivers side and see if it has bolts or studs. Maybe someone has already "bulletproofed" it and your ready to roll. Post some pics for us.

Research

I will have to do some research to find the location of the egr and head studs. It would bevawesome if the previous owner already did that for me.
