The Dmax is still a wimp.
Oh my g......come on now, that's just ridiculous. The Duramax engine has prooved itself very capable so far. They tow very well and have had a lot less warranty issues for a new engine than the 6.0 did. Have you been to a diesel pulling/drag racing competition lately? Aside from Cummins dominating the Modified diesel pulling class, the rest of the classes are made up of mostly Cummins and Duramax powered trucks. Much the same in drag racing, the fastest trucks at the tracks right now are Cummins and Duramax. Still, the fastest powerstroke hasn't run in the 10's yet. Cummins of course was the first, followed this year by Duramaxes. Ford, GM and Dodge all have great diesels out there right now and for anyone to think one is wimpier than the other is stupid. And for the Cummins guys and Duramax guys to call the Powerstroke 7.3 or 6.0 wimpy is ridiculous too. I say the same thing on the other two forums. All three
have proven, capable
engines on the market right now and for someone to seriously call another one
needs to remove their head from down under.
