Hello all -

My name is Dana Joe, I have a '99 F-350 4x2 Western Hauler Crew Cab.

Fellas, I done run the thing out of fuel.

Yeah, I knew better...but, I tried to stretch it a little too far. I came up short.

I spent the last two hours trying to start the thing - ether assist through the intake, topped the bowl off with fuel and transmission fluid (an effort to try and create vacuum as such to draw fuel into the bowl)...to no avail did any of these things work.

Can anyone offer assistance as to what I should do?

Any assistance would be most appreciated!

Your humbled new member,
Dana Joe

welcome to the site. first thing i suggest is stop using ether, use wd40 instead ether and glow plugs dont mix well. next make sure you have at least 10 gallons of fuel in the tank. Cycle the key several times without turning the vehicle over to make sure the fuel is flowing up to the bowl. Then turn it over and try to start it. It will take a little while for it to run right because it has to bleed the air out of the system.

Hope this helps
