Back to Ford from Cummins

Well, I've been running the straight 6 cummins since 2001. Before that I owned nothin but Fords.

Couple weeks ago I was staring down the barrel of a bunch of maintenance work on my wife's 08 cummins mega cab and decided to trade it instead. I don't really like how my new 2012 cummins is panning out - too lethargic. They detuned the damned engines to keep from plugging the DPF. Her 08 would walk all over my 2012. Not to mention the fuel mileage is terrible, and out here in Montana we've been known to drive 3 hours for lunch.

Drove to Butte, MT and bought a 2012 f-350 lariat, grey, srw, CCLB, 6.7. While the wife was test driving I walked the dog to the back lot of the dealership and saw a super straight, unmolested 76 highboy. I had them throw that truck into the deal too!

Anyway, the powerstroke has enough power to put you into orbit, and I'm jealous of my wife's new truck. I did have fun driving the highboy home though.

Glad to have another powerstroke in the family again, even though it isn't mine. Look forward to tuning in to see what you guys have to say about your trucks.

2012 F-350 Lariat, 6.7, SRW, CCLB 1,500
2012 Ram 3500, 6.7cummins,SRW,CCLB 23,000
1976 F-250 Highboy 177,000
2002 Ram 3500 Cummins, DRW 248,000
2001 Ford Excursion 180,000
2000 Ford Excursion 135,000
