Talking New to Powerstrokes

Hi everyone...well I just purchased a 2002 F350 Lariat Crewcab with the 7.3 and unfortunately it's not completely finished yet. I bought it from some idiot that rolled it (in his own driveway ) for VERY cheap with a CLEAN title of course. It is getting a custom paint job right now. Since I'm a girl I really wanted something a little more girly. So I decided to go with a Cadillac color called "Star Black" and add an Ice Red Pearl (makes it look a little pink). It will also have a thicker pink pin stripe. Other mods that I want to do include: custom tail lights/headlights, bigger tires (maybe 33's?) and blue heat--> which I got for free!. Once it's done I will be sure to post some pics!
However, my boyfriend REALLY hates powerstrokes! Personally, I don't know much about the different motors, but I like the looks of a 2002 compared to a 2002 Dodge. But he loves Cummins and also drives one. On his truck he has a sticker saying "I'd rather be cummin' than strokin'" . So I'm pretty much an outcast now! Well I wanted to introduce myself and see if I can find any ideas to make my truck look more "different". If you guys have any suggestions let me know....THANKS

The 7.3 you have is a very good motor. Most people go with 285-75-16 on stock wheels they measure about 32" tall (better fuel mileage). You can get a leveling kit and go with 315's or 35's. Get some gauges and get a custom chip from Dp tuner or Tony Wildman.

Welcome to the org! Congrats on your new truck. It sounds like you have a lot of good ideas. BTW, with a color like "Star Black" and "Iced Red Pearl" you had to be either a girl or a paint guy... Just kidding. We like to have a good time, so just post up any questions or whatever and we'll try to help you out. Good luck!
