Hello All!

Long time lurker, first time poster on this forum.

I just picked up a 1999 F350 7.3L Crew Cab Lariat 4x4, paid a bit more than I really wanted to, but still well under blue book.

Since most threads are pointless without pictures...

That's the day I picked her up. Drove about 100 miles north of my house in my wifes' VW, bought the truck and towed her car home with it.

Here's another shot.

So, overall the truck is in decent shape. Body is in great condition, decent miles, 197,000. Interior was in good shape, but worn from years of service. Lift had been installed by the previous owner, typical 4" suspension, but they added blocks not springs. There are a few things I've found that need immediate attention. It has the typical 99 torque converter rattle, there's a howl coming from the right front wheel while at speed, so it looks like the bearing is on the way out, it also bounces occasionally on braking.

Needless to say, for the price I paid, I don't mind doing some work. This forum has already been a huge help, so I thank you all for your contributions.

Hey guys,
Thanks! It's a great truck so far. Color is Bright Amber Metallic.

Today, I dropped the truck off at the shop. Let the transformation begin....
I'm having a John Wood transmission with billet converter, ATS Diesel Billet Flexplate, ARP headstuds, and Swamps Diesel 175/146 Single Shot Injectors installed... Then when it gets back to me, a Stancor Glow Plug relay and all new glow plugs, swamps programmed TS Performance 6 Position Chip, 5" MBRP exhaust, and an alignment

That'll get the project on the move.

Waiting here at home I've got a set of towing mirrors, Wet Okele heated seat covers, new carpet, and a few other goodies.
