Hey guys, my name is Chris, I live in Birmingham, AL. A couple weeks ago I bought a 2006 CCSB Lariat FX4 6.0. Really got a deal on the truck and I love it so far.

It came with a Banks intake, exhaust, intercooler, six-gun, and Power PDA (the PDA didn't work). I was planning on replacing it all with an SCT livewire, but on the drive back to Birmingham from Hattiesburg I got a hand-calculated 22.4 MPG...so it stays ha. I replaced the PDA with a Banks IQ (pic below), and I love that too except that it quit working 3 days after I bought it ha. Banks has asked that I wait for a new software update coming out today or tomorrow, but I think its toast. I must have gotten a bad one.

Anyway, other things I've done to the truck so far is tint the windows (not in the pic below), added my UWS low profile black toolbox I had, put in Husky Liners front and rear, and install a Pioneer AVIC X940BT headunit with backup cam, traffic tuner, nav, etc. Those headunits are awesome. Also added a Polk 10" behind the back seat.

Maintenance wise I've changed the oil with 5W-40 Rotella T6, got a new air filter and fuel filters to put in, may knock that out today. The t-stat appears to be opening at about 184* so I have a new one to put in, but I'm waiting until I can accumulate 4 gallons of CAT ELC, ~25 gallons of distilled water, a gallon of Restore and a gallon of Restore+ before I touch the t-stat because I want to do a full flush within the next week or two. Also have a Sinister Coolant Filter kit on the way and the updated primary fuel filter drain plug.

is ENG Temp the temperature of your coolant? nice truck and

just out of curiosity what are your usual temps? coolant and oil temps that is.. but i was gonna say.. those are some sweet temps especially EGTs X-D

Haven't seen coolant go over 184 but a few times, which is why a new t-stat is on the way. EOT stays 195-202, but I have seen up to 205 for a second. Keep in mind though, I was only able to monitor temps for a couple days before the damn thing quit working.

check on your oil cooler.. it might be screwed up.. you shouldn't have more than 15* deltas.. (differences in temps)

Yeah I'm gonna do a flush and get the new t-stat in and see what they are.

Well, got the IQ working! My Six-gun had just about the oldest firmware there was ha, updated it and it seems the communication problems are gone now!
