New to Site
Hi all, nice site. 2003 F350 CC Dually 4x4 Lariat. Stock for now. Had an AFE filter, but went back to stock. I did cut a 3"x4" hole in the grille bracket to allow air to flow directly to the intake. bumped my MPG by 1mpg. now getting 15.5avg/18hwy with light foot. Although I've had some issues(truck has an new 04 motor and new turbo) I love the PSD, it has done everything I've asked of it.
I do have a question not sure if this is the right section to ask. I am looking to improve MPG. Warranty is over so now I'm thinking tuner(GMS?) and exhaust. the Mech at the dealership says go with a cat back 4inch. He says the 6.0 needs a certain amount of back pressure to function correctly. Any thoughts? I get mixed suggestions from don't touch, to straight back, no cat, no muffler. very confusing and this is my first diesel. |

Welcome to the org... you can get a TB taht will retain your factor cat... you can then buy a cat delete pipe so you can try it with or without the cat to see which one gets your a better fuel millage... also what programmer you looking to get from GMS? i would also highly recommend the SCT tuner.... the best tuner for the 6.0L... let me know if you have any questions

Welcome to the site! I love my 6.0L and IMHO there is nothing better sounding than one that is straight-piped. I also have the SCT with custom tunes. Do not mess with the canned tunes. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me.
