And now let me introduce myself...

After a few years wanting and dreaming, I got my crew cab, 4x4, Powerstroke. Wasn't sure if I wanted a 6.0L but couldn't pass up the deal. It only had 59k miles on it and it was in my budget. The truck is in good condition minus a few dents (former owner was a rancher). This truck is mostly going to be used as street truck and when I need it at the deer lease (Comfort, Tx, very rocky and hilly).

Found your site while trying to compare the 7.3L vs. 6.0L. Thanks for eveyone's posts. The 6.0L guys helped me feel more comfortable with my purchase.

Now that the introduction is done. Would like to get some more information on gauges, intakes, exhaust, and chips or programmers. Planning on doing the Zoodad mod soon. Like most folks have said on here, it can't hurt and its free. My first mod will definitely be guages. Would like ya'll opinion on what gauges are necessary (trans temp, EGT, pryo(?), and boost), what brand, and where to place them. Stock my truck came with Trans temp but I've read I shouldn't trust it.

Thanks for any advice, ya'll can share and we'll see you down the road.

Welcome to the site and congrats on the truck. I agree that gauges are a good investments. Now on to the next step to modding. 4" exhaust (straight-piped sounds really good!) and SCT with custom tunes. That is a good place to start. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a PM.
