New to the Forum!

Im New to the forum, just signed up a few minutes ago!
My buddies truck just got stolen a few days ago and now he is looking at an 08 Ford ECLB 250 4x4 w/ the 6.4. (Lariat) w/ 46k Miles on it.

What kind of issues should we be expecting out of this truck, after the 6.0 the 6.4 didnt have the greatest reputation ( with the exception of putting stupid power to the ground with minimal effort with a stock bottom end and stock trans).
how do we bullet proof it, what is the best tuner for it?
Im a GM Guy at heart so you know I am familiar with EFI Live.
Wat is the EFI Live equivalent for Fords? SCT or SPartan Tuning? Im not familiar with either one. Could you guys fill me in? I know Im asking alot of Questions, but he is a ford guy at heart, and he is debating between a powerstroke and a duramax.

If you wanna spend the whole day on here and learn a boat load go back to the 2003-2004 post's on here when the guys were buying these trucks brand new. Its like a horror book that you know the whole story but you just cant put the book down. You go through the honeymoon phase when everthing is great, then you see a few ught oh questions and then omg . But it all turns out for the best as they figure out what help and what does not.
