New guy in Central MA

Hi gang,

I bought the truck in my signature line this week in VT. After weeks of looking, driving and lift-inspecting all brands, I found a keeper.

She's bone-stock, rust-free, with 149k Carfax-verifed miles, and actually was gargaged by the first owner not 50 miles south of me in MA.

My diesel experience started with 1976 and 1980 International Harvester Scout and Traveller, respectively, powered by the Nissan SD-33T turbodiesel. Scout was a Torqueflite 727, Traveller the 4-speed manual (about 57 mpg top speed!). This was in the pre-internet era. The Binder Bunch newsletters, Red Power magazine, Dr. Todd Sommer and the like were all we had. Sites like PS.org were undreamt of!

All 3 manufacturers are well-represented with sites like PS.org, and were invaluable in doing my research and due-diligence. These communities are like extended families - really great folks.

I have a lot of reading to do on this site - knowledge is power.

Hope to be able to contribute something other than Noob questions at some point!
