Hello everyone. New guy here and a wanted item.

I am glad to find this forum. I love diesel engines.

I bought a 1990 F-250 with a non-turbo 7.3 engine.
The engine is bad and knocking and blue smoke out the exhaust and fill pipe. It is bad and not an injection pump.
The noise is metal against metal.

I am looking for a used engine. I may rebuild this one. Does anyone have an idea of the cost of an overhaul kit?

I also have a Lincoln Mark VIII that I would trade for the RIGHT pickup.

Just to tell about myself: I have a 1985 diesel Merecedes, a 1984 diesel Chevy van, numerous diesel generators and used to have a diesel powered trawler. My wife had a diesel cadillac that was stolen.

I am in central Texas, retired, broke and broken-down.

I hope that I can contribute in some way, too.
