Talking Well I'm new to diesel!!!

Well i'm thinking about buying a 95 f-350 4x4 crew cab,auto,7.3 PSD,flat bed, has a land craft interior in it...,Has new UVCH harness,rebuilt tranny(auto),147000 miles,locking hubs,winch and custom bumper,Billet torque converter, tranny has about 40000 miles on it,Very clean,and drives very nice!!!

Your thoughts as PSD guys???? need a good tow rig for some trips towing my Rock crawling buggy down to Cali.. from washington and maybe a 40 Ft. toy hauler once and awhile.... Thanks for your thoughts...

Oh ya how long do the 7.3 PSD motors last motor wise????and what are the best lubes and filters to use on them?????Synthetic/dyno lubes...asking cause i like to change all filters and lubes when i buy a new to me rig????

Would there be any problem switching to Synthetic from normal Dino oil in the motor with 147000 miles???

Thanks!!!!!stealthrunner!!!!

Here's a picture of the trailer and the rock Crawler that it will be towing most of the time!!!!

Also posted a picture of said 95 f350.... Might be the owner soon!!!

Glad to have you - to the ORG!!

Check out the chapter for OR/WA members:
The Cascade Coal Rollers - Ford Powerstroke Diesel Forum

Truck looks good. If taken care of, the engine can last well in the 200,000 mile mark.
Some recommend going with Motorcraft filters. Shouldn't be a problem switching to syn from dino oil.

I'm sure others will chime in.

No special instructions on oil change. Except ur gonna use a lot more oil than you ever have. I would go ahead and change the fuel filter also since the truck is new to you. Its easy.

Question

So my diamond Eye exhaust shows up at the shop today!!!!

Will be glad to get that drone out of my right ear when in boost!!!

Finally found the fuel leak on the old girl!!!

Looks like it is leaking on the passenger side line that feeds the fuel to the back side of the head!!!!

Any suggestions????

Oh ya what size is the fitting that hooks on to the back side of the head???Looks like AN-4ish to me!????
