Just bought a 2004 f350 fx4 crew cab short bed. Traded in my 2007 dodge 1500 2wd. I needed something that would pull my jeeps better.

I picked it up last Wednesday it has 143k on the clock. When i got it the overhead display didnt work. $25 for a soldering iron and solder fixed that. I found out on Friday after i set the emergency brake that the e-brake release didnt work. $40 at the dealer got me a new release assembly. The sunroof also didnt work properly. Took the glass out and inspected found the driver side had some broken parts in it. Found a repair kit online for $120. Sure beats the hell out of the $925 the dealer quoted me for a new assembly. I got some royal purple and some CAT ELC EC-1 from work. Plan on flushing the coolant and changing oil this weekend.
Its a working process. I had the dealer run an oasis report on it and it didnt have major warrenty work done on it. It had been in 4 times to recalibrate the computer and once to replace egr valve.

Congrats in the purchase! And welcome to the org! Where in Texas are you located? There are some active chapters in the Lonestar PS group that have get togethers every once in a while.
