New guy. Chevrolet!
I knew if I put Chevy in the title you would click on this. Truth is I have been a Chevy guy for many years. Now I want a Diesel, after looking around for a little bit I quickly saw that I do not like the Duramax, the Cummins is a great engine But the truck they put it in is Junk. I have never owned a Ford in my life and also have never owned a diesel. I have however driven many many of them In School buses. We have one bus that is a 2003 Ford 7.3l and I got to take it on a 500 mile trip last weekend and loved it. I live in a place where we have lots of steep hills and A big square bus full of children is a challenge for any engine.
So I think I have decided on Purchasing a Super duty 7.3l 4x4. Around 10 years old or so. Hoping to find a Manual transmission F250-350. Am I wrong to jump The Chevy ship and Buy a Ford? Is the cost of owning one Gonna shock me? Fuel is $4 a gallon right now, Does the fuel mileage really make up for it? I rarely haul a trailer and only before winter we go get loads of firewood. Other than that it will just be a daily driver. |
