Just bought my first diesel. 2008 xlt with 45k miles. I have been around gasoline engines for a long time and have taken the plunge into the diesel world. I am allready looking to do 5 inch flo pro exhaust, h&s mini maxx and s&b intake but theres still year and a half warranty left and im debating what to do. Drove the truck home 4 hours yesterday and loved. I have owned 3 ford rangers and loved them but let me tell you nothing compares to a diesel.

Nothing crazy or even close to heavy but i like to travel occassionally and take the boat and the ranger just wasnt cutting it.

I live in Lindenhurst, Long island which was hit very hard by Sandy. However, i am fortunate enough to live far enough from the water to have not been affected by the flooding. A lot of my friends have lost everything including their entire homes. The devastation and mess down here has been unreal but everyone has been coming together and we will rebuild. I am currently a controls engineer for a building automation company but worked in a fiberglass shop where i still work on saturdays. We have seen boats all over the place with all kinds of damage, it really is a shame. Material items can always be replaced though.

Dang man - Sorry to hear about your area. I'm glad to hear people are coming together. I've only seen stuff on the news, you're right in it.

Just ordered a mini max in fear they will not be available in the near future. Probably run some dpf on tunes for a few months until i save up for an intake and exhaust
