Help......New to Diesel Trucks

Hello,,, Im new to the diesel world and so far I love it,,, I regret not getting one sooner,,,, I recently bought a 2002 Ford Excursion 7.3 PSD about 3 weeks ago and couldn't help but notice it had a few mods,,,it had an (Airaid Cold Air Intake and it had a 4" magnafllow exhaust from the turbo back.. How can i find out if anything was done to the Trucks computer????? Beacuse the reason i ask is that my brother happens to work for GSA Fleet down here in Miami ,,,, and they have a whole bunch of Excursion's 7.3 PSD,, and he says that till now none of the ones he's driven feel as fast as mine, which leads me to believe someone flashed the computer with one of those programmers or something....So my last question is ,,, i just ordered the TS performance 6 position chip, and the programs i chose were (stock, high idle, 50, 75, 100, 140+),,is the stock programming programmed into the TS chip,,,,so that when i turn the knob and switch the chip to stock setting it will work off the programming on the chip,,, or when i switch it to stock will it deactivated the TS chip and run off the programming on the Trucks ECM beacuse if the trucks programming on the ECM has been flashed it wouldn't really be stock setting..............

Sorry for all this babbling,,,im starting to confuse myself....
Thanks for any help,,,,,,,,,,

not sure how to tell if it had a programmer on it, with gauges you may be able to tell where you boost is at, but not sure any other way. I am not sure but I think the chip just goes by what is on the ECM for the stock program.

welcome to the org... unfortunately its very difficult to tell if it has a programmer on it or not... one way is by your boost... you would need gauges for this.... either way i hope you bought some gauges with your t-6 because it is very highly recommended to have them before you put any kind of engine performance upgrade....

Welcome to the ORG.!

If you install the chip, it will override what ever program is in the computer, stock or not.

As for the stock setting on the chip, I'm not sure.
