New to diesel world

Hey everyone, I'm nick; I just got my first diesel and I hope I don't regret it. I recently took over my dads handyman business and found it was pretty hard to work out of a jeep wrangler. Well after a few weeks of looking I found a guy that owned a psd and wanted a wrangler. Now I'm not a Ford guy, never have been, can't say that I never will be. Anyhow after talking to the guy for awhile, turns out he bought this truck for his wife and its way bigger and unpractical than she would of hoped, and being he has a cummins, the psd wasn't needed. Long story short, we traded straight across for the vehice, he got my wrangler, I got a 2004 f350 psd fx4 quad cab manual. Body is in decent shape and seems to run fairly well with only a few minor (I hope) issues. When it's hot it only cranks, not starts, my research Ella me its a icp sensor or possible hpop oring, I have pretty good mechanical skills so hopefully ill be ok..anyway, glad to be in the diesel world

Welcome to the .ORG! If you need anything for your powerstroke let me know and I can get you fixed up! Enjoy your stay and don't be afraid to ask all the questions you can think of. The 6.0 is a completely different animal but is and can be an amazing powerhouse platform if you know what your doing.

I also just got my first diesel back in Sept. Good mechanical skills are essential with these trucks, if I didn't know how to wrench and had to pay for labor, I'd be broke by now.
