new from Canada

hey everybody,

just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Mike, I have a 2005 f350 6.0L, crew cab, 8' bed.

just bought it a couple months ago.

truck is stock besides a triple dog tuner.

for S&G, i brought it to a local track to see what this behemoth would run. it was also my first time ever running down the track.

best that day was a 14.9@ 90mph 2.2 60', .

yesterday i went to a different track and fastest pull was a 14.7@ 92mph 2.1 60'

i was happy with that but know there is a low 14in it.

funny thing was, there was a bunch of duramax and Cummins three that couldn't pull faster than 16's that were modded lol.

thanks!

congrats on the truck and welcome. im not sure what you do or dont know about these trucks but there is a lot you can learn from this website. a couple things you will read is ditch that tuner and get a custom tuned sct. do 4 inch turbo back exhaust and do some of the bullet proofing mods. head studs and egr delete and check your oil temps you may need to replace your oil cooler. it all really depends on how much you wanna spend and how you drive your truck but those head bolts will eventually break... and that tuner or ANY tuner for that matter is not gonna make them last any longer. anyways welcome to the .org and read up.

yes i have researched the 6.0L and am are of their downfalls. i anticipate on getting the eliminator kit i believe its called from Pensacola. I'm still running stock boost. I don't race a lot, only about 7 passes thus far. just trying to see what she'll bring under stock levels. so far I'm very pleased and have yet to see one run this fast with having zero aftermarket parts installed.

truck is still a baby with 155000KM not miles.

thanks for the welcome
