Newb from the DFW area
Hey everyone, I'm Isaac and I'm still fairly new to diesels. I bought an 04 SRW CCSB F350 King Ranch in October of last year and I absolutely love it! Since I can't leave anything alone, I have since put an 8" Fabtech lift, 37" Goodyear MT/Rs and 16.5"x9.75" ProComp Rock Crawler wheels with 4.5" of backspacing. Right now my truck is in the shop getting a River City Diesel EGR delete kit and oil cooler upgrade, as well as a new FICM (it died two days before my parts came in). Next on my list will be head studs, new exhaust from the turbo back, full new intake system, and SCT tuner. I've done a decent amount of research on these trucks, and was going to go with either a cummins or a duramax, but couldn't pass up the deal I got. I'm also planning on building my own front and rear bumpers, installing on board air, and will eventually 4-link the front suspension with FOA coilovers. In the mean time, here's a few pics.
![]() Me and a buddy went to Oklahoma City to buy these tires. We bought a total of 10 tires for $550...that's $55 each! These new retail for around $375 each. The ride quality isn't that great, but for the amount I saved, you can't beat it! ![]() The used lift I bought... ![]() ![]() ![]() Here's the money shot...the Chevy is my 04 2500hd work truck. ![]()

Thanks, and yeah, the mud bug bit me years ago. I grew up in Orlando and used to frequent the Trucks Gone Wild events in Lakeland. I had a 95 dodge 1500 on 38s, and after all the problems I had with the trans and rearend, I swore I would never own a half ton truck again. This truck will probably never see the mud, though. I have some plans to build a small, light truck on big axles and tires just for that. It's a lot easier to afford a toy and a 'daily' than it is to have your daily be your toy. If its solely a toy and it breaks, it can sit until I have the spare money to fix it. I learned that years ago...and of course it was the hard way...lol
