New to the forum and to diesels

Hey guys, I'm new here. bought my truck almost a year ago and really love it. I should have made the switch to diesels a long time ago. Hope to get some good info and insight from people here.

Just out of curiosity, does your screen name have anything to do with riding motorcycles on road courses?

It does actually. I live up in Alaska at the moment but am in the process of moving down to Missouri. We have a small little road course up here. I love racing. I have a 02 yamaha R1 that I custom built for the track here.

That should prove to be a good truck for you, my '07 has been great to me. Look over the 6.0L sections, lots of great information there learn from.

If you haven't already, get yourself a monitor for the truck. The Ford dash leaves a lot of holes, that cause a lot of headaches down the line that are easy to prevent.

Except for sitting in the shop all day today with EGR issues, it's been a great truck so far. Lots to learn.

^^ That too could be useful to monitor before the ruptured EGR cooler sends coolant into the cylinders and requires a big Head Gasket Bill.

Monitor is very important on diesels
