Newbie in VA

Hey folks. Just bought my first diesel, '96 F250 4x4 with 387K on it. I jumped in with reckless abandon, you might say. The only smoke is on startup, it sounds and runs great, and was purchased from the original owner.

The original owner rebuilt the tranny (had it rebuilt) within the last 100K miles, and replaced a couple injectors several years ago. Anything I need to be on the lookout for, or should know about servicing on this beast? I already know about the fuel water drain thing --in the engine compartment, I'm supposed to do that every time I fill up, right?

Also, I'm under the impression that DieselKleen is a decent fuel additive? I put some in when I filled it up, so hopefully its good stuff. Enough people seem to like it, and its sold just about every gas station.

Yep, DK is a good product. I use it a lot myself.

I alternate with DieselKleen and AMSOIL. Truck seems to like 'em both.
