Powerstroke Newbie from GA

Looking for some advice....When I originally started looking for a diesel truck last year, I wanted an F250 or F350. In my opinion, the Ford is the best looking truck out there. But after some research, I was scared away from the 6.0 powerstroke unless I found one that had been bullet proofed, and THAT is hard to find. I didnt want to get an older truck with the 7.3 and definately cant pay $47k for a new Ford. So I ended buying a 2007 Sierra 2500HD. EHHH! Its a good truck, but I still want a Ford.

So, long story short....I came across a 2005 F350 Lariat the other day. The guy (local used truck lot) selling it told me that the head studs and EGR delete have been completed and he just instlled a new starter and head gaskets because "the head bolts had been tightened down to much" Exterior and interior are in real good shape and I believe I can get it for $15k.

What else do I need to be concerned with? Did Ford work out any bugs with the 2005 motor? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome man. I live in Grayson, GA (east of ATL) but work up in Kennesaw quite a bit.

Like Hank said, try and make it next weekend if you can, basically all of guys from GA and many from the Carolinas will be there.
