New here, still looking
Looking to pick up my first diesel here in a few weeks. I am in the process of trying to sell my car, and f150 and im going tuesday to look at a 97 f350. Truck has 180k with a rebuilt auto trans with in the last year The guy I am possibly buying it off of had is own business, and work got real slow, got another job and has no need for the truck and his wife doesn't like it.
I was told to look for cracking in the oil pan, make sure the rad supports aren't rotted out, and the rear portion of the frame (along with the rest of the frame obviously.) Any other things to look for specifically? Truck needs tires and thats about it according to the seller ![]() Axle code is c9 which i looked up is 3.55s LS Last edited by Fox_24; 05-21-2012 at 06:27 AM. |

So looked at the truck today and love it. Only issue with it is over some bumps it gets a funky rattling/vibrating noise. Owner thinks its cause the bushings on the front leaf shackles may be worn, but I'm not to sure about that.
