New, new, new

Hello all. I am new to diesels and have not yet bought one. And yes, I've decided to go with a Powerstroke. My dilemma---$15000 max. What I have been finding around here is 7.3's with 200,000+ miles sitting at the same price as a low milage 6.0. But what I have been reading here on the forums the past few days is that 6.0 and newer have that EGR thing that sucks. Enlighten me PLEASE.

keep looking

Don't get anxious. I am new to the forum but just recently found my truck, a 2002, 7.3 4x4 with 150K miles for $10K. Read as much as you can on the options, be honest with yourself about what you "need" in your truck and when the time comes....be ready with cash. Those are my only suggestions. I am on my 3rd 7.3 and have loved every one of them. Hang in there. The knowledge on this site and FTE has no comparison.

Welcome to the org.!

You'll find that you will want (need) to spend some bucks on a stock 6.0 to keep her going. Prices may look good but you need to factor in the mods she will need.

I have two 7.3s now and I love 'em. When I win the lottery I am going to look for a "new" 7.3 that was moth balled.

So I decided to get the 7.3L Excursion. She needs a few things but here she is.

And thank you all for the greetings.
