Ford 6.0 ERG Problems?
On normal acceration, engine will hestitate and make a "popping" sound - almost sounds like a gas engine backfiring thru carb - any ideas what is causing.....EGR Valve? Appreciate replys

Hey Woody I'm not sure if those symptoms denote a problem with the EGR valve, however it's rather easy to rule it out. Take the EGR valve out and clean it (there is a post with the procedure for this in here somewhere) and then when you put it back in, leave it unplugged. Drive it and see if it does the same thing. It won't hurt the truck as many of us in here leave ours unplugged all the time with no problems. I hope you get it figured out bro. |
