Hello from Kentucky

Just joined, a few days after getting my baby. 06 F350. A real beauty, sort of a metallic brown color.

I had an oil burner ten years ago (silverado, 6.2), and it was pretty good except the electrical system was slowly dying, every month something else went out. Bought a little FX4 Ranger back in 02, loved it, but dang that thing sucked the gas, and you just couldn't carry anything in it. My two girls might have fit in the jumpseats when I bought it, but five years later they had definitely outgrown that tiny space.

So when it was finally paid off, I went looking for a F250 w/powerstroke, in the 04 to 06 range. Darned salesman let me take this F350 out for a drive, crew cab, dualies, and King Ranch package, and I just had to get it. Fortunately, what with the drought slamming the farmers, and the housing slump doing ugly things to the contractors, they were making real good deals on big diesel trucks.

Who'da thunk they'd make a 1 ton truck this fancy? I could move into it, just love that leather smell. Rides smooth, handles tight, fuel mileage is impressive considering the weight of the truck. It's stock and I don't plan on modding it a lot, don't really need to. Maybe a set of intermediate offroad tires, but I have to get six of them - ouch, that's going to cost.

To tell the truth, I think it looks better than the 08 models. Don't care for that new grille.
