Another new guy
Hey everybody,
My name is Nate Behra, proud owner of a 96 F250 4x4, which I've had about 3 years now. When I've been around to work on it/drive it I've been continually modifying it. In the three years I've had it all I've had to do to it was repace the alternator and water pump. Its been a great truck for the 30000 miles I've had it and I'm sure it was great to any previous owners for the balance of its 123000 miles. Aside from the pickup I also am the proud owner of a 1965 Pontiac Tempest (GTO clone) with a 406 CI chevy small block and an 86 Thunderbird 5 liter. Im pretty much a dyed in the wool Ford man but the early GM A bodies are just too sexy to pass up. A little about me: I am an infantryman in the United States Army. I am currently stationed at Ft. Carson, CO, and live in Fountain with my wife. I served a year in Korea before deploying from there to Ramadi, Iraq. There I spent 4 months killing bad guys and keping the world safe for democracy. On October 18th, 2004 my life was very nearly taken by a roadside bomb. I took a lot of shrapnel to my chest, ending up with a few missing peices and a punctured lung. I'm extremely thankful for the grace of God and the medics who couldnt believe they saw me walk into their aid station with my injuries. Outside of the military, I am a jack of all trades, master of none. You name it, I do it from carpentry to masonry to roofing, electric, plumbing and hvac. I worked as an auto tech for a while, which I loved. I've also done farm work, crane operation and rigging. I look forward to offering up my knowledge and gaining some too. |

Welcome Nate! It's great to have you and thank you and your family SO MUCH for all you've given this great country. I'm a vet from the first time we went to that lovely place - sorry we didn't finish the job. Glad you're enjoying your rig and hope you enjoy the site. Everyone on here has been great!

Hey Nate, welcome to the site. I'm a TACP (foward air controller) in the Air Force. Just went to Iraq the first 5 months of this year, re-enlisted and got my truck when i came home. I'm kinda jack of all trades, short of the crane operator thing , lol. For one i don't like watching other people do my work, and two i'm a cheap sob so i make what i can, like a cold air kit for my 84 SVO. Hope we can learn something from each other, i can talk your ear off about getting power out of gas engines but i'm relativly new to EFI diesels. |
