New in town

This site rocks, I have had my 02 excursion since spring and love it. A couple of questions though. What can I do to increase power and yet tow? Chip upgrade ? Which one ? What can I do to help out my tranny? Any advice?

the best bang for you buck would have to be a good air intake system like Air Raid or AFEnginering, etc. Also just following the scheduled maintenence has a big impact on it.

I personally would just leave the govenor alone. Do you really need to go over 120 miles per hour?

If you install one for the aftermarket performance chips it will remove the limiter. My 02 F-250 4x4 SWB CC was limited to 96mph. After i installed on of the 6 position chips from David Lott at Diesel Innovations she blows right by the 100 and is still pulling strong. I'm not sure what she will do but I will find out on my next Dyno run.

If you want it ungov'd most of your programmers will do it - heck I turn that thing off every time I tune BUT these things get VVVVEEEERRRRYYYY "floaty" above about 110 and I don't recommend it.

Right

I know you are very very very correct rod. Even though it is very tempting it pushes the limits of your trucks and most importantly your trucks tires. Ever think of that. They do have a speed limit rating on them. aww who cares it's always nice to see those little imported hot rods dissappear in the rear veiw mirror.

You know what's funny is, it's the friggin trucks that are the worst for me. Down here in Texas the pickup is king and it seems like 80% of the trucks you get next to at a light have an issue. Most of them are gassers with loud exhaust thinking they're something and I just eat 'em for lunch. Even my wife asked me what was up with guys wanting to race my truck at a light when she drives it......course the last time she was in the 100 tune and well apparently it wasn't' even close.
