Cool Exhaust noise.

I just installed a 4" turbo back, cat-delete, Silverline exhaust on my '05 6.0 SD. It sounds like jetwash at the tail pipe. SSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHH. Anyone know if this is normal. All clamps are good and tight and no air leaking anywhere. Thanks.

Welcome!
I'm not sure about the noise. You could ask this in the 6.0 section if you don't get an answer here in a day or two.

Welcome to the ORG.!

Most 6.0's with good exhaust sounds like a 747. At idle you will hear a lot of turbine noise. I'm not sure if that's the sound you're talking about.

I get the same sound, i love it, i wanted to take my muffler out today but i clamped it too tight and wasnt able to separate the muffler from the pipes. oh well, still sounds good.

I'm pretty sure if I drop the muffler I'll lose the jetwash and get a nice throaty sound. Tommorrow I'll start lookin for a 4" pipe to replace the muffler. Thanks for the welcomes, I think I'm gonna like it here.
